Journeyman Electrician
About the role
We are a family-owned electrical service company based in Arlington, Texas. For over 20 years, we have served homeowners and small businesses throughout the southern half of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding counties. Our team specializes in residential service calls, light commercial projects, and energy-efficiency upgrades. Responsibilities
- Carry standard equipment and parts; travel between job locations.
- Inspect, assess, and diagnose electrical issues; communicate with clients about necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Choose appropriate materials, install and maintain wiring, plugs, panels, and switchgear.
- Set up and maintain electrical machines and troubleshoot equipment.
- Maintain inventory, log time and materials for each job, and keep accurate records.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and provide professional, friendly service.
- Mentor apprentices and assist master electricians on large projects.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good arithmetic, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; commitment to continuous learning.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety regulations.
- Proficient in using common electrical tools and equipment.

Pay
Hourly pay range: $32–$55 per hour (about $66,560–$114,400 per year). Open listings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area show journeyman electricians earning $25–$55 per hour, with the top employers offering wages at the upper end of this range. Our pay range sits near the top of the market and comes with overtime, a bi-weekly pay schedule, and rapid advancement opportunities.
