About the role
Torus is expanding its manufacturing operations at its 540,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a crucial role in installing residential, commercial, and industrial PV solar and battery energy storage systems.
Responsibilities
- Install solar PV systems, battery storage, and electrical switchgear in residential, commercial, and industrial settings to NEC and local code standards
- Plan and execute conduit runs, equipment mounting, and electrical connections per engineered plans and specifications
- Lead and mentor apprentice electricians on proper installation techniques, safety protocols, and code compliance
- Perform system troubleshooting, maintenance, and service repairs as needed
- Maintain professional customer communication and provide timely project updates
- Complete daily job documentation including progress reports, materials tracking, and any site or customer issues
- Enforce all safety standards for yourself and your crew on every job
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional at all times
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and materials inventory in good working condition
- Demonstrate reliability through punctual arrival and consistent attendance
Requirements
- Active DOPL Journeyman Electrician license or higher
- Residential and commercial electrical installation experience
- Proficiency in reading and executing blueprints, specifications, and electrical riser diagrams
- Strong working knowledge of NEC code standards and local electrical requirements
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in field settings
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable using project management software and mobile applications for job tracking
- May be required to use ladders at varying heights, specialized equipment (scissor lifts/man lifts, etc.), and lift heavy items (up to 60 lbs)
Qualifications
- Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Must have mathematical knowledge, physical dexterity, and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Must be willing and able to ascend ladders/stairs, work at varying heights, and on rooftops.
- May be required to use specialized equipment (scissor lifts/man lifts, etc.)
- Ability to work in inclement weather at varying times and places.
- Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must report to work with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.

Pay
$35 - 45/hour (Note: Compensation is commensurate with experience and the level of technical and coordination responsibilities required for the role.)
Schedule
Full-Time, Hourly
