Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings, primarily O&G Industry
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Install and connect wiring, conduits, switches, transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Investigate and problem solve to determine most efficient way to install changes to existing electrical service
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently
- Participate in 24/7 Field On-Call Schedule rotation (approx. 1 week every 1-2 months)
- Lead, mentor, and direct less experienced electricians
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 5+ years of Industrial Electrical Construction experience
- 2+ years experience Oil and Gas Industry Equipment operating experience preferred (excavator, manlift, skid steer, etc)
- Journeyman License preferred
- Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, motor controls, and hazardous area classifications
- Strong knowledge of NEC (or applicable electrical code)
- Experience with Class I Div 1 & 2 installations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work overtime and travel to job sites as required
- OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety certifications
