Standard Energy Solutions (SES) is a Maryland-based professional renewable energy solutions EPC that serves residential customers in a number of states throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. SES offers comprehensive design, engineering, installation and O&M service solutions for distributed solar, electrical load management and energy storage systems. Our team has the skill and experience necessary to assess the energy consumption of your home or business and develop actionable strategies to reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint, while improving the health, safety and comfort of the building structure.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installation for residential solar PV systems, including:
- Service upgrades, main panel work, and subpanels
- Line-side taps, backfed breakers, and interconnections
- Installation of inverters, batteries, and disconnects
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and utility requirements
- Lead or support electrical portions of installs on active job sites
- Verify system design against site conditions and flag discrepancies
- Perform system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
- Cookordinate with project managers, inspectors, and utility representatives
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Complete required documentation (photos, as-builts, commissioning reports)
- Provide guidance and oversight to apprentices and install crews
- Train team members on electrical best practices and safety standards
- Support a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Must be a Journeyman Electrician
- Tremendous Customer Service Skills, Written and Verbal
- Understand Troubleshooting Techniques
- Independent Worker with Little to No Direct Supervision
- Aware of NEC code and making sure all work is code compliant
- Inventoried and Tool Management
- Ability to use basic installation tools, power tools and hand tools
- Good physical condition, able to lift minimum of 50lbs, and have the ability to climb ladders
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass background check and Drug Screen
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance record
- Install and Troubleshoot lighting, panels, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, inverters

Pay
$X per hour or $Y per day, depending on the contract.
Schedule
Hours vary based on project needs, but typically range from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
