Core Responsibilities
- Residential Service & Repair
- Diagnose and repair residential electrical issues
- Install and replace panels, breakers, outlets, switches, fixtures, and wiring
- Perform service upgrades and minor system modifications
- Troubleshoot circuits and resolve electrical failures efficiently
- Ensure all work meets NEC and Maine state requirements
- Remodeling & Project Work
- Complete electrical rough-ins and finish work for kitchens, baths, additions, and whole-home remodels
- Work closely with carpenters, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and project managers
- Follow project plans and layouts accurately
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Safety & Code Compliance
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Maintain awareness of Maine electrical code requirements
- Assist Master Electrician with inspections and permit-related tasks as directed
- Identify and communicate potential safety concerns immediately
- Documentation & Accountability
- Complete clear and accurate job notes in company software (Thermogrid or applicable system)
- Track materials used and communicate shortages proactively
- Meet billable hour expectations
- Maintain company tools and vehicle (if assigned) in clean, professional condition
- Customer Experience
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners
- Explain issues and solutions in understandable terms
- Maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor

- Active Maine Journeyman Electrician License (required)
- Strong understanding of residential electrical systems
- Experience in service work and remodeling preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
