Journeyman Electrician

About the role

The Journeyman Electrician plays a crucial role in JF Petroleum Group, working closely with the Electrical Field Operations Manager to manage and execute electrical construction projects efficiently. This position involves planning, organizing, and controlling resources to meet project budgets and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Aid in pre-construction meetings and report to the Electrical Field Operations Manager.
• Aid in on-site coordination meetings with customers and salesmen.
• Aid in educating and enforcing company policy and procedures, including site safety.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Work with local fire marshals, inspectors, and other officials.
• Select and stage materials based on provided information.
• Lay out and mark dimensions for system components.
• Operate necessary tools and equipment for safe and efficient work.
• Collaborate with other journeymen or crew leaders to ensure continuity of work.
• Set personal production goals and review safety events.
• Create and utilize JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for all work.
• Develop and utilize crew schedules to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with JF Petroleum Group and OSHA safety policies.
• Report accidents and injuries promptly and participate in investigations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Drivers license (unrestricted and free of moving violations).
• State Electrical Journeyman license.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $30-$40 an hour, depending on experience.
