Journeyman Electrician

About the role

Jetson is seeking experienced residential electrical installers to join our team in Marlborough, MA. This position involves removing gas furnaces and installing electric heat pump systems, while also collaborating with engineering teams to streamline processes and improve the product.

Responsibilities

• Install required electrical to support heat pump installs
• Calculate electrical loads
• Upgrade main electrical panels as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
• Test electrical systems for functionality and efficiency

Requirements

• Extensive residential retrofit experience required
• Journeyman/Licensed electrician in Marlborough, MA and surrounding areas preferred but other licenses or certifications considered
• Well versed in newer technologies like SMART panels, splitters, sub-panels, to optimize when faced with main panel or full service upgrades
• Well versed in modern residential electrical building codes
• Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in electrical work
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
• Valid driver's license
• Follows OSHA Electrical Standard
• Follows the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard
