Journeyman Electrician

Join Lee’s Summit Heating & Cooling – the trusted Kansas City leader in residential HVAC, Plumbing and Electric services for 30+ years. We are expanding due to demand and are hiring a Residential Electrician / Electrical Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential electrical service, maintenance, and repairs
• Install power wiring, control wiring, fire alarm wiring, and communication wiring in conduit
• Mount and install light fixtures, lighting controls, breaker panels, transformers, disconnects, meter sockets, etc.
• Install and troubleshoot electrical equipment and fire alarm panels
• Lead crews on assigned projects, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Maintain strong customer relationships and uphold safety and quality standards
• Work with Project Managers to ensure projects finish on time and within budget

Requirements

• 2+ years as an electrician (residential or commercial) preferred
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Team-oriented and strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods throughout the day
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling and twisting of body while working
• Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds
• Must be comfortable and able to safely climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, or bucket trucks at various heights
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and is not limited by weather conditions. May work in extreme temperatures, including heat and cold, as well as in dusty, wet, or dirty spaces.

Pay

$26 - $40 per hour based on experience plus opportunities for commission!
