Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Plan and perform layout.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum certifications shall be a current Journeyman’s License.
• Familiarity with industry standards and practices.
• Advanced experience working as an electrician.
• Experience with Motor Controls.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical wiring such as installing transformers, disconnects, switchgear, receptacles, and lighting.
• Adept at bending conduit which shall include knowledge of concentric bends, various offsets, kicks, and saddles.
• Basic Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook (email) skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients.
