Responsibilities
- Test electrical systems using tools like voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
- Determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system, and ensure compatibility.
- Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
- Report violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-year Trade School degree or completed state recognized apprenticeship program.
- A Minnesota State Journeyman Electricians license.
- At least 2 years of journeyman level electrical experience.
- Dependable, punctual, self-starter, and able to work closely with others.
- Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, electrical metering, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to access and work on electrical systems.
- Perform inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
- Understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
- Proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
