Journeyman Electrician

Purpose and Impact

Amentum is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join their team in Springfield, VA.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
• Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
• Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Uses a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.

Experience and Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Electrical Journeyman's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Electrical Journeyman's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Clearance Required

• TS/SCI w/ Poly Required

Certifications

• Electrical Journeyman's license required.
