Job Description
Sought is a dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our distinguished fleet maintenance team. This role involves maintaining a broad spectrum of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from different manufacturers. These vehicles utilize propulsion systems like diesel, gasoline, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electric in certain areas.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Meets Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements as per job assignment
- Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the workday
- Sits infrequently, as required, throughout the workday
- Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaches from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Operates standard and manual transmissions
- Operates power and pneumatic tools
Requirements
- Active driver's license issued by the state
- At least 21 years old
- Willing to work 7:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. shift, Monday-Friday
- Required to possess the necessary hand tools for the applicable job assignment
- Preferred to hold a CDL Class A or B
Knowledge And Skills
- Current documented 5 years of Automotive Mechanic experience working with diesel and gas heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers
- Hands-on experience with fleet repairs and/or dealership environments
- Experience performing DOT Inspections in trucks
- Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis

- Depending on service needs, overtime may be required
Work Environment
- Wears personal protective equipment as required
- Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity (climatic conditions)
- Exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise
- Outside inclement weather may be encountered
- Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
- Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
Compensation
- The starting pay for this position is $39,07 per hour with a one-year progression to top pay $45,97
