Empowered Electric has grown exponentially over the last four years. We hire qualified electricians in Kansas City who want to work with us, not for us. We’ve gone from “up-and-coming” to “here-to-stay” because the people we hire are a unique breed—skilled, passionate, and driven by excellence. We care about your attitude and effort just as much as your technical abilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently install electrical materials for residential or commercial projects.
• Strong listening skills and commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
• Ideally 3-5 years of experience, or in your second year as a Journeyman with exceptional skill.
• Customer-focused mindset—able to make clients feel heard and valued during service requests.
• Experience handling and leading small-to-medium projects, either solo or with a small team.
• Punctuality, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a relentless work ethic.
• Willingness to mentor apprentice electricians and learn from senior team members.
• Comfortable with job cost reporting, including labor and material tracking.
• Strict adherence to OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.

Bonus points if you hold a Journeyman or ABC certification, or have OSHA 10-hour/30-hour qualification. If you lack these but are passionate and eager to grow, we’d still love to hear from you.

• Overly independent to the point of resisting teamwork—we value collaboration and mutual support.
• Skills not yet aligned with the role, though we respect honesty and value drive as much as current ability.

Pay

Salary is based on experience with unlimited growth potential. Continuing education opportunities include ABC Apprenticeship Program and OSHA training.
