Journeyman/Apprentice Plumbers
About The Role
Indoor Elements Mechanical is seeking professional Plumbers to join their growing team in Grande Prairie. They have openings for both Journeypersons and Apprentices who are dedicated to quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The plumbing team handles a variety of projects, from residential service calls and renovations to commercial mechanical rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste disposal.
- Troubleshoot and fix leaks, clogged drains, faulty water heaters, and sump pump systems.
- Aid in the installation and maintenance of boilers and in-floor heating systems.
- Review building codes and blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
- Inspect and test installed pipe systems and pipelines using pressure gauges to ensure system integrity.
- Provide clear explanations and estimates to customers regarding their plumbing needs and options.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certification: Valid Alberta Journeyman Plumber Certificate or current registration as an Alberta Plumbing Apprentice. (A Gasfitter ticket is considered a strong asset).
- Technical Skill: Proficiency in working with various materials, including PEX, copper, PVC, and ABS.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify the root cause of plumbing issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Physical Demands: Comfortable working in crawl spaces, at heights, and performing heavy lifting as needed.
- Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and capable of representing the company well on residential and commercial job sites.
Requirements
A valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean abstract are required.
