Journey Level Multi-Craft Technician

Key Functions

• Works in a team environment to manage the mill maintenance systems, specific area projects, process improvements and equipment operation.
• Fully cross trains in all areas of maintenance including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Attends training seminars both onsite and offsite, as required.
• Utilizes computerized maintenance systems.
• Demonstrates systemic troubleshooting decision making.
• Shows dedication and self-motivation as an individual who can actively participate in meetings, team feedback, team building, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• Personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations.
• A minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance millwright experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Proficient in 2-3 areas including electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, millwrighting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
• Reads and understands blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Uses maintenance tools.
• Demonstrates good communications skills and is team-oriented.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing, self-directed team at Grayling, offering above-average earnings potential and full benefits. The pay range is $24.10 to $31.47 based on skills, education, background, qualifications, and experience.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance millwright experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills

• Electrical skills are a plus.
• Associates degree.
• Good working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues.
• Commitment to follow all unit electrical/maintenance practices.
• Strong computer skills and fluency with standard Microsoft office products.
• Ability to work with computerized maintenance systems for processes, stores, work orders, etc.
