Joplin Regional Stockyards Hand / Labor

Responsibilities

• Animal restraint and handling
• Afford physical support and handling as necessary
• Administering injections and deworming medications
• Collection of lab samples
• Effective communication between team mates and doctors
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
• Assist in receiving and sorting cattle
• Ensure proper identification and placement of cattle
• Communicate to veterinary staff if you notice any signs of illness or distress
• Aid in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the stockyard facilities
• Handle waste management and equipment storage
• Enter data into the stockyards computer system

• Able to arrive on-time and stay until the work is done

• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds
