About the role
Invite Joint Service and/or Coalition Partner unit representatives to the Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for each NTC Rotation. Facilitate preparation and submission of a Capabilities and Limitations quad chart(s) for presentation at the IPC. Capture the Army Senior Trainer’s intent for each Rotation by participating in the D-270 Division Exercise Design brief.
Responsibilities
- Travel to each IPC during which the Joint Planner will:
- Present the GREEN FLAG brief to the Senior Trainer
- Conduct the Joint Fires Integration Working Group
- Participate in the Intel Working Group
- Participate in the Fires Working Group
- Attend Live Fire Working Group
- Provide input to and attend the Senior Trainer Outbrief
- Prepare and present a monthly update to the 12th Combat Training Squadron (12 CTS) and 549th Combat Training Squadron (549 CTS) Commanders.
- Schedule / host / facilitate link-up session with Raven Team Observer Coach/Trainers and 549 CTS.
- Attend each Rotation “Plus Brief”.
- Present Joint / Coalition Partner training objectives.
- Provide back brief to 12 CTS and 549 CTS Commanders.
- Attend the GREEN FLAG Initial and Main Planning Events.
- Execute the FUOPS / CUOPS Handover.
- Verify Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) Deliverables received
- Brief Team Chief, 12 CTS Director of Operations and Raven OC/Ts
- Scenario overview
- Identify key events
- Prepare Operations Plan, Warning Order and Operations Order products.
- Review Master Air Attack Plan (MAAP) for each Rotation.
- Compare sortie dates/times to planned Rotational events
- Identify any potential incongruence to 12 CTS and 549 CTSMaintain Joint folder on NTC Operations Group MS Teams channel
- GREEN FLAG schedules
- Joint / Coalition Partner quad charts
- Attend monthly Air Combat Command stakeholders meeting.
- Update Deliverables and supporting documents as needed.
- Ensure ASOS can access the channel to download and upload documents.
Qualifications
- Joint military planning experience.
- Thorough MS Office and MS Teams knowledge.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and organizational levels.
Benefits
- The base salary for this position is $72,000 to $77,000 depending on experience.
Pay
- $72,000 to $77,000 depending on experience.
