Joining Engineering Specialist (KTP)
About the role
You will apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. You will implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc. You will manage and direct statistical process control activities. You will identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently. You will support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Dept, Production, and Suppliers. You will review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
- Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.
- Manage and direct statistical process control activities.
- Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis.
- Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently.
- Support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Dept, Production, and Suppliers.
- Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and manage joining techniques, materials, and technologies.
- Apply knowledge of joining technology, equipment controllers, and weld gun design and evaluation techniques.
- Execute and verify joining processes and procedures.
- Implement the joining certification strategy.
- Understand joining schedule development.
- Implement joining control plans and requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Welding or Mechanical engineer or 2+ years of Welding and Joining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year experience in Microsoft Office products
Qualifications

- Advanced Degree in related Engineering Field
- Previous automotive, weld engineering, and quality analysis experience.
- Six Sigma Green/Black belt certified.

Pay
This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
