About the EHPS

The European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) is a professional organisation formed to promote empirical and theoretical research in and applications of health psychology within Europe as well as the interchange of information related to health psychology with other associations throughout the world towards an international achievement of these aims.

Mission

We help individuals, families, and societies to better cope with life challenges related to illness and health, by promoting rigorous science, precise interventions, and close collaborations.

Membership

The EHPS is a vibrant society, suggesting numerous opportunities for collaboration in research, clinical work, and public health. We welcome everybody who wishes to make an impact in the context of health, illness, and coping to join. We are a friendly, all-inclusive, and democratic society.

Publications

The EHPS is responsible for highly influential scientific publications:

• Psychology & Health (P&H) - The first EHPS journal, accepting all excellent research in health psychology. Supports Open Select and self-archiving.
• Health Psychology Review (HPR) - Focuses mainly on reviews and meta-analyses. Supports Open Select and self-archiving.
• Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine (HPBM) - An Open Access Journal publishing theoretical and empirical contributions on all aspects of research and practice into psychosocial, behavioral and biomedical influences on health.
• Health Psychology Bulletin (HPB) - An open access journal specifically designed to address some problems in the way health psychology research is traditionally published.
• European Health Psychologist (EHP) - The bulletin/newsletter of the EHPS, publishing communications between members, contributions supporting the annual EHPS conference, as well as short empirical and debate papers.

Practical Health Psychology Blog

Practical Health Psychology (PHP) is a blog about cutting edge Health Psychology and how to apply it in practice. The aim of PHP is to translate rigorous and peer reviewed research to simple and clear blog posts. These posts can be easily translated into practice.
