Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of golf & turf equipment, including reel mowers, rotary mowers, aerators, turf sprayers, and utility vehicles.
- Perform basic work in various dealership departments as needed to gain a well-rounded understanding of dealership operations.
- Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership.
- Take ownership of your learning path. This apprenticeship progresses at the pace of the apprentice, with expectations to complete 66 key competencies over the 2-year program.
- Demonstrate initiative and responsibility in tracking your own progress, requesting guidance, and ensuring timely advancement through each competency level.
- Demonstrate a foundational knowledge of service delivery, including locating and identifying parts.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in machinery and equipment.
- Work alongside experienced Technicians to gain hands-on training and learn best practices.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
- Accounts for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify issues.
- Document parts used and maintain inventory control.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to learn Golf & Turf equipment through in-person, virtual, and hands-on learning.
- Ability to use Service Center and basic computer functions.
Skills
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Repetitive hand use up to 8 hours a day.
- Walking or standing up to 7 hours a day.
- Sitting up to 4 hours a day.
- Squatting/kneeling up to 3 hours a day.
- Computer/keyboard work up to 2 hours a day.
Pay
Pay Range: Hourly rate: starts at $20 per hour, with competency-based incremental pay increases.
Schedule
Schedule: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week plus overtime. Day Shift (7:30 am start times or earlier, depending on need).
