About the role

The Mobile Service Technician independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment. This role is primarily focused on in-field service, traveling to customer locations across the True North Equipment territory, while also supporting shop work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on agricultural equipment and precision ag technology systems
  • Travel throughout the True North Equipment territory to support customers across multiple locations
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and represent TNE professionally in front of customers
  • Respond to service calls in a timely and efficient manner to support customer uptime
  • Complete accurate work orders, documentation, and time tracking
  • Maintain tools, service vehicle, and equipment in clean and working condition
  • Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
  • Participate in Service EDUCATE and ongoing training programs
  • Support customer clinics, training events, and internal initiatives as needed
  • Work efficiently to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction expectations
  • Take directions from the Location Service Manager to prioritize work assignments, scheduling, and customer needs

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in diesel or agricultural equipment repair
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with John Deere Service Advisor (preferred)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVRAbility to obtain and retain a DOT medical card
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work

Pay

  • $29–$49+/hour depending on years of John Deere experience

Schedule

  • Off-season: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • In-season: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM & Rotational Saturdays: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • On-call rotation and extended hours during peak seasons
