About the Project

John Cook contacted us about his front entry in The Retreat neighborhood of Powell. The original single door with sidelights on either side was outdated, drafty, falling apart, and just didn't make the impression he wanted.

As John put it, the front door is the first thing guests see when they arrive—he wanted something impressive, welcoming, and truly awesome that would wow visitors right from the start and give the home a fresh, modern upgrade.

Solutions Provided

We transformed the entry by replacing the old single door with elegant double French doors—a bolder, more sophisticated look that instantly elevates the whole facade. We finished the doors in a striking matte black on both the exterior and interior for a seamless, high-impact modern style that looks sharp from every angle.

The sidelights stayed in place but now perfectly frame the new French doors, adding symmetry, light, and that "wow" factor John was after. The result is a beautiful, energy-efficient entry that's draft-free, easy to use, and turns heads every time someone approaches the home.
