Requirements

• Valid Class A Driver’s License
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Must have at least 6 months of verifiable Yard Switcher experience within the last 3 years
• Must be flexible and able to work overtime when required
• Able to pass criminal background and drug screening
• Knowledge of USDOT Rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Staff shipping office desk and receive/login outside drivers
• Maintain CDL-A license and move empty and full trailers in yard as required to fulfill production schedules
• Keep running log of dock doors and trailers; report final trailer status at end of each shift
• Monitor work and requirements in terms of quality, quantity, and safety
• Coordinate warehouse staff to meet production schedules and objectives
• Accurate and timely reporting of work in process; complete all relevant paperwork, BOLs, and management reporting
• Report or identify needed maintenance of equipment and machinery to meet department requirements efficiently and safely
• Understand SQF and take action when notified or aware of any Food Safety or Food Quality issue
• Support the operation by working overtime as needed to maintain production in accordance with Union contract
• Use SAP to provide data for shipping and receiving functions
• Communicate via email with Supervisors, Coordinators, Production, Maintenance, and Management as needed
