Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is one component of our competitive Total Rewards package, which includes wellness programs supporting financial, physical, and mental well-being.
Responsibilities
- Clean all jockey, barn, and racing area floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
- Spot vacuum as required.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock all restrooms in jockey, barn, and racing areas.
- Mop floors in restrooms, jockeys' quarters, and other areas as needed.
- Remove all trash and debris from jockey and racing areas and deposit in the outside dumpster.
- Use chemicals for cleaning and personal protective equipment.
- Read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids.
- Interact with guests and provide service according to company standards.
- Demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department and/or company management.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
- Licensed with New Mexico Racing Commission.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English (e.g., safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals).
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication skills may also be required.
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish is an asset.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
