Duties And Responsibilities
- Respond to any operational emergencies on campus during assigned shifts
- Perform additional Facility Services (FS) work to support the following functions: mechanical, carpentry, electrical, roofing, grounds, and building services as required
- Inform management of any additions or deletions that must be made to campus blueprints
- Cookordinate maintenance activities with members of the campus community
- Assist management in the scheduling of outside contractors that may be required to complete projects on campus
- Assist management of FS in preparing and monitoring operating indices for the division
- Encourage FS staff to follow all safety procedures and programs
- Cookordinate and document the performance of preventative maintenance activities, in his/her respective field
- Participation in the FS safety council desired
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Journeyman certification preferred
- Three years of work experience as an instrument technician, HVAC Mechanic or other related fields
- Commercial experience preferred

- Ability to perform tasks using the Internet and data base query tools
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- Understanding of basic heating, ventilation and air conditioning principles and control systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and perform under pressure
- Ability to troubleshoot or diagnose a problem and determine the best course of action
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork and cooperation to resolve service issues
- Knowledgeable of Safety Rules and Regulations
- Ability to work from heights
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel in a Windows environment
- Ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
