About the role

This position represents the face of Intermountain Healthcare to customers, patients, and physicians who use Courier services to transport items between facilities and organizations within Intermountain Healthcare. This position drives a light or medium duty vehicle less than 10,000 GVW, making deliveries of equipment, packages, specimens, and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Takes care of the customers' needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, and high quality service.
  • Drives a light or medium duty vehicle less than 10,000 GVW, making deliveries of equipment, packages, specimens, and supplies.
  • Ensures the needs of the customer is the primary focus.
  • Cleary conveys information and ideas in a manner that engages the customer, helps them understand and retain the message, and invites response and feedback.
  • Manages time effectively and accomplishes assigned tasks.
  • Adapts to dynamic business needs and conditions.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
  • A DOT Medical Card.
  • Six months of experience in a customer service or logistics position.
  • Moves up to 500 miles per day.
  • Meets the requirements for a routine driver as outlined in Intermountain Healthcare's Motor Vehicle Driver Policy.
  • At least 21 years old as required by DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain valid CDL Medical card within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience using internet and email applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow department procedures and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with Intermountain Healthcare's Motor Vehicle Driver Policy.
  • At least 21 years old as required by DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $18.76 - $24.38

Schedule

Schedule: Full-time Hours: 40 hours per week Some holidays and weekends
