About the role

As a Job Placement Specialist, your primary function is to utilize community employer contacts to achieve independent participant employment and retention. You will provide leadership and mentoring to participants, as well as the support necessary to encourage long-term job retention. You will educate employer contacts on participant programs, develop employment opportunities, create position matches, referrals, and intakes, and ensure participant and employer satisfaction. Additionally, you will develop community-based work adjustment and assessment sites as requested.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in placement activities
• Experience with developmental disabilities, job coaching, or case management preferred
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• DODD Certified/Registered or ability to become Certified/Registered
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable with a strong work ethic

Schedule

You must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend shifts.
