Job Summary
Beacon Health System is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for multiple departments with varying shifts and schedules in Three Rivers. We offer premium pay rates, a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for full-time RNs, and opportunities for growth and mission alignment.
About the Role
Provides professional nursing services by performing priority technical procedures safely, effectively, efficiently, and legally. Establishes and/or revises priorities for job/patient care activities based on acuity, resource availability, customer/patient preference/request, and other department or staff priorities. Responds to data indicating potential or actual risks to an individual's health by initiating corrective action. Advocates for patients or families when necessary to achieve appropriate outcomes. Maintains accountability for own and delegated actions and decisions, using scientific principles, logic, and standards of practice/protocols.
Responsibilities
- Develops or revises a plan of care for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing data, including measurable goals/outcomes; reflects patient and family values/preferences; identifies interventions to achieve outcomes/goals; addresses physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and learning needs.
- Initiates or maintains interventions to ensure continuity of safe, effective care for patients across the continuum of care.
- Maintains accountability for achieving appropriate outcomes/goals associated with delegated acts.
- Delegates to other staff members based on acuity/complexity of need, role definition, and ability to perform, and the collective needs of patients, families, and unit.
- Maintains awareness of advances in clinical specialty and contributes to the department's ability to achieve and maintain clinical excellence, customer-focused service excellence, fiscal responsibility, innovative and talented people, and the best place to work.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies, and department-specific education within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Maintains current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process, and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan. Certification must be maintained based on accrediting body standards.
- Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrates advanced analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
