What You Will Do
- Assess participant readiness for employment by evaluating skills and interests, using discovery activities and assessments.
- Develop strong community connections by establishing relationships with employers, public agencies, and organizations to create job opportunities.
- Generate job leads through outreach, responding to job ads, and actively seeking roles suited to participants’ goals.
- Serve as advocate and liaison between potential employers, program participants and other support available.
- Track and report on participant progress, job outcomes, and employer feedback.
- Advise and assist participants with job search techniques including interviews strategies, resume writing, completion of job applications and networking.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Driver’s License: A valid and clean New York State driver’s license is required.
- 2-3 years of experience working with IDD
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Great computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft office is a plus
- Must possess and maintain a personal cell phone for work-related communication; this is a condition of employment.
Work Location and Schedule
- Nassau and Suffolk County
- Full-time, with flexible scheduling options

- Pay: $24.00/hr.
