Job Developer

About the Role

This position focuses on enhancing employment and vocational rehabilitation services for customers by developing transitional employment opportunities, conducting employer outreach, and building strong employer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure transitional employment options with employers, including developing agreements and coordinating candidate screening and referrals.
• Build and maintain employer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Market job training programs and support on-the-job training initiatives.
• Match customers to suitable job openings, prepare them for interviews, and understand employer needs and company culture.
• Conduct work readiness sessions, review labor market information, and assist with resumes and interview skills.
• Coordinate with other job development organizations to broaden employment opportunities.
• Utilize real-time feedback to improve services and follow up with employers for quality assurance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, with four years of customer service experience, or equivalent.
• Experience in employment placement programs, fast-paced environments, and handling diverse customer needs.
• Strong service, engagement, organizational, and communication skills, including motivational interviewing techniques.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, electronic systems, and accommodations for customers.
• Ability to develop employment opportunities across multiple sectors and organize hiring events.
• Proven track record of placing customers into employment and generating performance reports.
