About the role

We are seeking an Adult Intensivist for locum tenens ICU coverage in North Dakota. This is a night-shift opportunity with no call, providing coverage during a temporary staffing shortage. ICU only, 226-bed hospital with 16 ICU beds and an additional 8 beds available for PCU overflow. Average census less than 13 patients. Some patients are managed by hospitalists in open ICU.

Responsibilities

The intensivist will provide overnight critical care coverage for ICU patients. Patient volume and procedures will vary based on patient complexity. Provider is not required to remain in-house.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
• Comfortable managing adult ICU patients independently
• Must have experience with the required procedures listed above

Skills

• Bronchoscopy
• Central line placement
• Thoracentesis
• Chest tube placement
• Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)

Schedule

Night Shift: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM. No call required.
