About the role

Our client is a family‑oriented practice group that provides full‑service vision care for children and adults. The offices are friendly, comfortable, and professional, located inside select retail locations. This position is a fill‑in or as‑needed coverage opportunity for an Optometrist. The successful candidate will be detail‑oriented, treat patients of all ages—from young children to the elderly—with kindness and discretion, and ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests.
• Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma.
• Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to visual impairments based on each patient’s specific case and medical history.
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
• Advise patients on proper eye‑care techniques and how to use and maintain their contact lenses.
• Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients.
• Co‑manage patients with local ophthalmologists.
