Job Coach - Republic

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Colville, Washington. Agency vehicles are provided; a clean driving record and winter driving skills are required.

About the role

Our Employment Program provides DDA/DVR/FCS (supported employment and community inclusion) services to individuals with disabilities or significant barriers. The program also handles information, outreach, and education to residents of Ferry, Lincoln, and Stevens Counties related to developmental disability (DD) employment work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and assessment of clients, supporting the development and creation of individualized service plans that address each person’s goals.
• Assist clients in community activities related to their interests and provide on-site support and training in work environments to meet employer performance and productivity expectations.
• Provide services to help clients develop skills and mediate or remove barriers to employment.
• Serve as a liaison with employers to address performance issues and act as an intermediary between families, residential providers, partners, and community organizations in support of the client.
• Manage paperwork and progress reports related to clients.
• Work flexible hours, including possible night shifts, weekends, and holidays, to meet client needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience working with people in a vulnerable population or who have disabilities.
• Advanced training in developmental disabilities (classes, certificate courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.) preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
