Job Coach

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise clients in worksites; this includes training of individual students; checking and assuring satisfactory completion of student work; taking data to establish job norms.
• Report directly to worksite managers; including discussion of problems, coordinating schedules assuming complete responsibility for satisfactory performance at worksite.
• Assess student capabilities/interests and assure a match to training/employment opportunities.
• Aid in the development of the vocational portion of the Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• Represent student and program in a positive manner to visitors and the community in general; provide a positive, professional, and appropriate role model for staff/students.
• Acquire job-related skills through participation in external and in-service training/evaluation including working flexible hours as needed to accomplish this.

Requirements

• B.A. in related field and/or relevant experience.
• Experience in a direct service with a similar population (i.e. moderate ID with behavioral and/or autistic adolescents), preferably in a community based program.
• Must meet Massachusetts background check requirements.
• Physically/emotionally able to work extended and flexible hours.
