Job Coach

About the role

New Horizons, a nonprofit serving special needs adults in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura, for more than 60 years, seeks a self-starter to be a Job Coach.

Responsibilities

• Orients the member to the work setting.
• Develops a daily work schedule that identifies all of the job duties that must be completed during the work day.
• Trains the member to complete their assigned job duties up to employer expectations.
• Teaches the member appropriate workplace behavior and attitudes.
• Affords assistance and support to the member.
• Advocates for the member within the workplace.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with special needs / developmental disabilities (preferred).
• A valid driver’s license for 3+ years required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to drive an 8-passenger van.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

No experience necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.
