Stone Arch Services is seeking a strong Java web applications developer for our client in the North Loop. The office is located in the warehouse district next to Target Field, in the heart of the city.
About the Role
The applications development manager, with several years of experience as a Java architect at Thomson Reuters, leads a collaborative and skilled team. The client focuses on financial planning and retirement solutions for young and growing families, emphasizing social media and mobile/responsive design.
Within the past year, we’ve placed a Data Architect, QA Automation Manager, and DevOps Engineer with this client. The team consists of approximately 20 IT employees out of 100 total staff.
As a Senior Java Developer, you will take an active lead in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying both vendor solutions and custom applications aligned with the client’s architecture vision. Technologies in use include Google Analytics/Tag Manager, WordPress, Adobe, AngularJS, and Amazon Web Services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Java-based web applications.
- Integrate and deploy vendor solutions alongside custom applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects with architectural goals.
- Work with modern technologies such as AngularJS, AWS, and analytics tools.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Java web application development.
- Willingness to expand skills with current technologies (e.g., AngularJS, AWS).
- Ability to take a leadership role in development and integration projects.
