About the role

We are recruiting 3 students (1 per faculty: Law, Languages & Letters) to advise international students in their course selection for the September and January intakes. The role involves guiding students in selecting their courses, offering personalized recommendations, and helping them make the best decisions for their academic path.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with course selection: Help students navigate the university course catalogs, understand degree requirements, and select appropriate courses each semester.
• Course recommendations: Evaluate international students’ academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals to provide tailored course recommendations.
• Support for course changes: Provide assistance to students wishing to change courses, including guidance on relevant procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a Master’s student at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 in good academic standing.
• Knowledge of the university’s academic programs, course offerings, and degree requirements within your faculty.
• Passion for helping others and making a positive impact on the international student community.
• Understanding of the higher education environment.
• Versatility, open-mindedness, and kindness.
• Sense of responsibility.
• Intercultural communication skills.
• Comfortable with software and university platforms.

Schedule

• Availability for assignments starting from August 31, 2026 and January 30, 2027 (over a period of 2 to 3 weeks at each intake).
• Approximately twenty hours per semester over the first 2–3 weeks.

Practical details

• Must be a student enrolled at Lyon 3 for the academic year 2026–2027.
• Educational level: Bac +3 or higher.
• Languages required: French and fluent English.
• Number of positions available: 3.
