About the role

Facilitating and coordinating care by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Health System.

Providing direction to/management of other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.

Working collaboratively with, and providing leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that support quality, safety, and excellence in care.

Participating in promoting improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty.

Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Directing and managing other team members to ensure quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives.
• Promoting improvement initiatives in clinical, financial, and operational areas.
• Implementing initiatives in the area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.
• Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.

Requirements

• RN License
• BLS
• PALs
• EPIC
• MUST have 2 years of experience in PEDs (Pediatric Emergency Department)
• APHON chemo/biotherapy provider course/certificate required

Qualifications

• Pediatric-trained nurse
• Acute care pediatric oncology unit

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing process and protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in improving healthcare programs and initiatives
• Strong leadership and management skills

Benefits

• Holidays: As needed by the unit
• 13-week long-term assignment

Pay

• $60/hr
