Job Summary

Facilitating and coordinating programs that may include hospital inpatients, outpatients, families, community, and employees of both the hospital and the university by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and managing other team members to ensure quality, safety, and excellence in care.
  • Collaborating with and leading a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and excellence in care.
  • Promoting and identifying quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that support, protect, and promote the specialty area.
  • Participating in research activities relevant to the specialty area and implementing initiatives as directed by nursing and medical leadership.
  • Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.

Requirements

  • Current Nursing License
  • BLS Certification
  • 2 years of current strong Med Surg experience and Transplant experience
  • Preferred: EPIC Experience, Experience With Kidney Transplant Coordination
  • Assumes responsibility for on-call activities including organizing transplants and triaging patient problems.
  • High level of skill in patient triage, ability to triage simple and complex problems by telephone.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard to input and obtain data.
  • Ability to document legibly using a writing instrument.

Benefits

  • M-F schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Rate: $60/hour

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of current, strong Med Surg experience and Transplant experience.
  • Preferred: EPIC Experience, Experience With Kidney Transplant Coordination.

M-F; 8-4:30
