JH Volleyball Coach

Location: Lester Prairie High School
Start date: 2026-2027 school year
Salary range: $2,229 – $3,011
Reports to: Activities Director

About the role

Provide leadership in the planning, development, and execution of the Junior High Volleyball program by focusing on building a positive culture and developing quality relationships with student-athletes and parents.

Under direction of the Head Volleyball Coach, implement an effective training and competition program that maximizes student-athlete performance in the sport and ensures continuity through all levels.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with all program stakeholders to ensure a positive, quality experience is provided for student-athletes
• Manage equipment inventory for the program

Qualifications

• Minnesota teaching and coaching certification preferred but not required
• Employment as a teacher in Lester Prairie School District preferred but not required
• Previous coaching experience in volleyball is desirable
• Knowledge and background in volleyball
• Works collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of the community
• Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills with both youth and adults
• Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution
• Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent Lester Prairie Schools with respect in all communities
