JV Volleyball Coach
Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for an Extra Duty position for the 2026-2027 school year.
About the Role
Coach JV volleyball athletes in the basics and fundamentals skills, drills, and practices of volleyball. Maintain inventory of equipment, uniforms, and paperwork. Serve as a positive role model on and off the fields and ensure the safety of all athletes. Help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
Responsibilities
- Supervise team on the field, in the locker room, and on bus trips.
- Maintain equipment, accurate records, supplies, and inventory.
Requirements
- Successful middle school coaching experience.
- Adheres to sports philosophy of Phoenix-Talent Schools.
- Model high standards of behavior.
- Meet/ability to meet coaching certification requirements: FA/CPR, Concussion Training, Anabolic Steroid, blood-borne pathogen, etc.
- Experience coaching volleyball preferred.
- Meet required driver's training for activity van usage.
- Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches.
Qualifications
- Preference may be given to those candidates who hold a valid Oregon teaching license.
- Preference may be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
Pay
As determined by negotiated salary schedule and current memorandums of understanding with the collective bargaining unit.
Evaluation
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually with District #4 goals and objectives and these performance responsibilities serving as criteria.
