This role supports Tiffany & Co. Product Services by ensuring merchandise is processed efficiently and meets the brand’s uncompromising quality standards prior to advancing through servicing or fulfillment. The Jewelry Washer works closely with Hand Engraving, Polishing, Stock Repair, Distribution, and Quality teams to perform cleaning, inspection, order tracking, and operational support while maintaining production efficiency, equipment readiness, and a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and process Tiffany & Co. merchandise utilizing wash line systems, ultrasonic cleaning units, steam equipment, and other approved cleaning technologies.
- Ensure merchandise is processed efficiently while maintaining Tiffany & Co.’s standards for quality, presentation, and craftsmanship.
- Inspect merchandise throughout the cleaning process to identify defects, residue, damage, or servicing concerns prior to release to the next production stage.
- Maintain departmental productivity standards while accurately processing assigned workload and supporting production turnaround goals.
- Track production activity and complete required documentation to support operational reporting and workflow visibility.
- Partner with Polishers, Hand Engravers, Stock Repair, and other Product Services teams to support daily production requirements and workflow priorities.
- Provide logistical and administrative support that ensures merchandise moves efficiently throughout the servicing process.
- Adapt to changing business priorities by providing operational support across Product Services and Distribution functions as needed.
- Maintain organized workstations and staging areas that promote efficient production flow and inventory control.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain wash line, ultrasonic, steam, and related cleaning equipment to ensure consistent operational performance.
- Partner with Facilities and department leadership to report equipment concerns, coordinate preventative maintenance, and support equipment reliability.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and consumables while communicating replenishment needs to leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
- Perform quality inspections to verify merchandise cleanliness and readiness for subsequent servicing operations.
- Escalate quality concerns, damaged merchandise, or processing discrepancies to department leadership.
- Maintain accurate production records while ensuring compliance with departmental procedures and operational standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by consistently following all Tiffany & Co. safety policies and operational procedures.
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely operate all cleaning equipment.
- Promptly report safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to department leadership.
- Support a collaborative work environment that promotes operational excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One to two years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, production, or servicing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, learn new processes, and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting cross-functional operations.
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and peak business periods as operational needs require.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to following all Tiffany & Co. safety, security, and operational procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial wash line, ultrasonic, steam, or similar cleaning equipment.
- Working knowledge of PKMS or other warehouse and production management systems.
- Experience supporting luxury manufacturing, jewelry servicing, or technical production operations.
- Familiarity with Product Services, Distribution, or Stock Repair workflows.
- Demonstrated commitment to operational excellence and exceptional client service.
Pay
The hiring range for this position is $19 - $26 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
