Responsibilities
- Set gemstones of various shapes and sizes into fine jewelry pieces using techniques such as prong, bezel, channel, and pave setting.
- Perform precision stone setting, including invisible-set diamonds, to achieve flawless results.
- Size rings accurately, both up and down, working with all precious metals including Platinum, Gold, White Gold, and Silver.
- Maintain the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in every stone-setting project while meeting company efficiency standards for order completion.
- Possess soldering knowledge and demonstrate the ability to work with all metal types and solder flow temperatures.
- Conduct repairs using a laser welder as needed, ensuring quality and durability.
- Provide customers with an exceptional experience that exceeds their expectations, addressing any concerns or inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Learn and apply a variety of company policies and procedures related to jewelry crafting, repair protocols, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a jeweler/stone setter, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in various gemstone setting techniques, including prong, bezel, channel, and pave setting.
- Expertise in precision stone setting, particularly with invisible-set diamonds, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to size rings accurately, working with different metals and adhering to industry standards.
- Strong soldering skills, including the ability to work with various metal types and solder flow temperatures.
- Experience using a laser welder for jewelry repairs and modifications.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences and building long-term relationships.
- Able to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques, technologies, and company procedures as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal jewelry training program or apprenticeship preferred.
