About the role

Blue Nile is seeking creative and talented Jewelers for their manufacturing facility in New York City. The ideal candidate should be proficient in jewelry repair, cleaning, soldering, and sizing.

Responsibilities

• Jewelry Cleaning: Work on raw casted metal to prepare for pre-polishing process. Ensure all surfaces are smooth and achieve the desired size.
• Solder/Laser Work: Solder gold and platinum heads to rings, ensuring no damage to diamonds. Size rings without leaving a seam and repair pin holes, porosity, and cracks.
• Jewelry Assembly: Perform tasks such as setting stones, sizing rings, retipping prongs, soldering rings, and simple fabrication and repair.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, with technical training in metal programs or jewelry programs preferred.
• Experience in jewelry repair.
• Able to complete a bench test for assessment purposes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Consistent regular scheduled attendance is essential.

Pay

Base pay ranges from $24.00 to $34.00 per hour, with final pay rate determined by experience and qualifications.
