Jet Truck Operator

About the role

H 2 O Innovation is a leading company in water and wastewater treatment, specializing in innovative water technologies, services, specialty products, and contract operations. We are seeking a skilled Jet Truck Operator to join our team in Gulfport, MS. This is a full-time & permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Unstop sewer blockages as required and clean materials from lines as needed.
• Dispose of material in an appropriate location.
• Maintain and operate jet truck in safe and efficient manner while removing sewer blockages.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as recommended by manufacturer.
• Ensure a safe work zone is set up prior to work beginning.
• Complete and submit written reports.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Unstop and clear blockages that may occur within the city’s sewer system.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months’ related experience
• Must pass a background check including criminal background, motor vehicle report, and drug & alcohol screenings

Skills

• Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions, including hazards that may exist in sewer environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner
• Ability to perform physical tasks in various outdoor weather conditions
