Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors to join our dedicated team of educators. We are committed to fostering an environment where students can grow academically and professionally under the guidance of passionate and knowledgeable instructors.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care settings.
• Create a clinical environment that supports students' academic growth and professional development.
• Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Current valid state RN license.
• At least 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Motivated, self-directed, and team-oriented approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize workflow effectively.
• Ability to supervise students in the clinical setting.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that contributes to student learning.

Skills

• Ability to deliver effective lessons on the level of an RN or PN student.
• Knowledgeable about the nursing specialty area.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse that enhances student learning.
