Responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate graduate nursing students across classroom, simulation, online, and clinical learning environments.
- Teach graduate nursing courses across programs, including graduate APRN core, support, nurse practitioner program, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) courses, as assigned.
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues and program leadership in course planning, curriculum implementation, and the ongoing development and evaluation of the graduate nursing curriculum.
- Advise and mentor graduate nursing students, supporting academic progression and professional development.
- Participate in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement, including assessment of student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with program leadership and clinical partners to support high-quality clinical learning experiences, including identification and evaluation of clinical sites and preceptors.
- Contribute to program compliance with accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements, including participation in program review and reporting activities.
- Serve on College and University committees and participate in governance and institutional activities.
Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) required.
- Master’s degree in nursing or related discipline from an accredited college or university required.
- Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related discipline preferred; candidates without a doctoral degree must be enrolled in a doctoral program.
- Eligible for or currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in an accredited academic nursing program required, preferably in graduate nursing education.
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, and student evaluation in nursing education.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty colleagues, students, and clinical partners.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
