About the role
This internship provides hands-on experience in full-cycle HR operations within a high-volume logistics environment, supporting 200–250 employees across multiple California sites.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR support for 2–3 warehouses in one of our California sites, shadowing the HR lead as your mentor and support.
- Affiliate in managing full-cycle HR processes, including recruitment administration, onboarding, and documentation for performance management and offboarding.
- Review and reconcile employee timecards, ensuring accurate attendance tracking and related compliance matters.
- Support the handling of employee relations issues and conflict resolution by documenting investigations in partnership with leadership.
- Provide initial HR guidance to managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and basic compliance with federal and state regulations.
Requirements
- Graduated or currently enrolled in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Chinese Mandarin speaking is a plus (but not essential).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and task completion.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn new systems such as HRIS, ERP, and payroll/timekeeping systems.
