JBC-Rack Loader 3rd Shift

About the role

Maintains smooth production flow by manually loading bread onto conveyors, managing equipment racks, and ensuring strict quality control through label verification and shortage reporting. Responsible for department hygiene and adherence to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lift hot 25-pound loaves of bread from conveyor and place them on racks.
• Frequently push/pull full racks into correct order.
• Verify batch numbers and product codes on labels match.
• Return any unused labels to the supervisor for recording.
• Perform department sanitation as needed (dry cleaning/wet washing).
• Detect and report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
• Report all shortages to the lead operator.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education, training, or experience (GED).
• Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly lift, bend, push, and pull.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including good mathematical abilities.

Work Environment

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment; follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when required.
• Follow all safety rules, food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies.
• Report shortages, inconsistencies, or quality concerns to the lead operator or supervisor.
• Operates in warehouse and production environments with exposure to strong aromas, airborne dust particles from ingredients, and industrial machinery.
• Must follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay

Starting at $19.18 - $22.57 an hour.
