Java Technical lead

About the role

Full-time Java Technical Lead positions available in Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Strongsville, OH; and Phoenix, AZ. Open to independent visa holders only.

Requirements

• 7–15 years of professional experience
• Deep expertise in Java (Java 11/17/21+)
• Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring MVC) and Hibernate
• Strong knowledge of SQL, messaging systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), and ETL workflows
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture, design microservices, and ensure scalability and high performance of back-end systems
• Write complex code, build Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and develop/maintain RESTful APIs
• Guide software engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices (e.g., TDD/BDD)
• Collaborate with product and business teams to plan releases, estimate effort, and resolve technical blockers impacting delivery
